IMMERSIO 2026 @ REXKL

As part of IMMERSIO 2026: PASAR, the festival extends beyond its main exhibition at GMBB and into REXKL, bringing together a series of artist sharing sessions, performances and community-driven programmes during the festival’s final weekend, from 25–27 September 2026.

Located in the heart of downtown Kuala Lumpur, REXKL has transformed the former Rex Theatre into a creative and cultural community hub for exhibitions, performances, screenings and gatherings. Its history of adaptive reuse and its role as a meeting point for different communities make it a fitting space for IMMERSIO to expand conversations around art, technology and contemporary culture.

IMMERSIO @ REXKL focuses on the more social and performative side of new media art. Moving beyond the conventional exhibition format, the programme creates opportunities for artists and audiences to meet, exchange ideas and experience works through live performance, audiovisual experimentation and conversation.

In the spirit of PASAR, REXKL becomes another point of exchange within the wider IMMERSIO ecosystem — a place where people gather, ideas circulate and different creative practices meet. Together with the exhibitions and programmes happening across GMBB, Muzium Telekom and OMBAK KLCC, IMMERSIO @ REXKL reflects the festival’s ambition to bring new media art into different spaces and communities across Kuala Lumpur.
